Apple Founder Steve Jobs dies at 56

Steve Jobs
1955-2011
The computer and technology world lost a great pioneer yesterday with the passing of Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Inc. and the man responsible for creating the IPod, IPad, and ITunes.  Jobs started Apple in his garage back in 1976 with his good friend, Steve Wozniak and other talented computer engineers. Credited as the creator of  the first personal computer, the Apple II, and Macintosh line of computers, Jobs had recently stepped down as CEO of the company he built in Aug due to increasing health issues that he had suffered for many years as a result of  pancreatic cancer.   Jobs had a liver transplant in 2009 and received a good prognosis. In 2011 he left the CEO position as he felt he was no longer able to handle the demands of the position. The technology he was responsible for designing or creating will forever change how we process, send and use information and we will be forever grateful for the genius and determination of this great entrepreneur. Jobs was 56.
